That one was fun. Especially since the inspiration for the colors came from the forest only a few minutes away from my home. I love the colors of it.
Have been listening to some different instruments on youtube while coloring (and when I was not watching Fringe d: ). Mostly Hanghang and Kalimba: [link] [link]
I love the whole concept of your drawing. The colors that you put into the wings really pop out when you look at it, and the owl's actual face being a clock is a nice touch. I also really enjoyed looking at the overall design of the owl. The four wings and the mesmerizing details that you put in really do stand out. The clock itself looks old with the handles and the Roman numerals that you put on it instead of normal numbers are also very creative. The name of the piece completely describes it, a true "Guardian of Time".
There could have been more color in the background, but then again that might ruin the whole picture.
I love this piece of artwork! The technique is outstanding and the originality is amazing. I've never seen anything like this, and hope that you keep on at it.
Well to start of, the idea just shows what the title says, i would prefered you did the clock in it face to be more attached, like it were the face itself; and for the colors they are just good for the part you wanted to represent, pure nature colors, but then i rethink about the idea and a Fx of aged in the colors will be good well, the originality, impact and the technique are just very good indeed, love the way in the pose ( fantastically epic one like a dream creature shaped in the reallity).
i would like to see this same idea from an upper view to see the details in it backand in a pose it says "Ho-ho" is the twelve o'clock, like owls in the beginings of late hours this one deserve to be called a "Timeowl"
