Just what the title said: I started with the stack of PSX and PS2 Titles I always wanted to play but never gotten to (so far). Which means: I'll be taking a bit of a drawing break.
Currently on Mana Khemia (I want Muppy in my party NOW!). After that I plan to get to Ar Tonelico 2 and 3, finish Final Fantasy IV, play some Wild Arms inbetween and... spend a few minutes on AC Revelations. *w*
Thought this is nicer than saying it with a journal. d:
This is a very involving piece. The composition is well laid out and makes great use of the page. The convergence of the character on the left all the way to the cat on the right makes an excellent flow line, especially with the added butterfly. The eyes of each of the different characters also seem to have created their own experiences once you reach those sections of the page. The atmospheric perspective was a nice touch and really adds some depth and magnitude to the composition. The use of line weight and hatching helps create good contrast, separating foreground from background. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this sketch. My only suggestion is to color it (if you’re not too busy playing games that is ).
Haha I found this by accident when searching for Muppy fanart and I'm glad I did! I'm really curious about the characters, the little one has such a cute face and the guy/girl with the tattered cloak looks very sly and mysterious. (and er... popcorn addicted XD I wish i could spear them on my nails too XD) And GOSH I adore the way you draw kitties XD *dives into your gallery to look for more shiny*
Right, I think I was playing that game when I drew that one, that might be it. ... And I just noticed that I forgot to finish it. O-o Too many awesome games keep my attention span at a minimum. Shame on me.
I just finished it yesterday which is why I was searching XD The ending is really awesome, escpecially if you got the Roxis character ending in my opinion. But yeah that game can be a bit of a slog since the plot progresses real slow and then just explodes all in the last chapter XD
What bothered me the most was the fact that you can pretty much never get A-Ranks when you don't know EXACTLY what you have to do. I hate such stuff. xD Still, I need to play some more soon. :3 The fight system is amazing and awesome. And the specials are just hilarious!
o.o I never found that myself, there were only a few classes that seemed annoying nonsense to me and that was the synthesis ones where you had to make 'warm grape ice' or whatever. Cos the game never explains that you get different titles for stuff as different failures while alchemizing. (so warm icecream requires an ether level of 15) Regarding the rest of the classes I found them fine, though I'd already been warned early on by a friend that none of them have time limits unless it pops up in your notebook that there's a time limit, regardless of what the teacher says. (and you get higher grades on gathering classes if you get more stuff so rushing it would ruin things..) But yeah the fight system is awesome and I just wanted every class to involve facing a new boss XD And Muppy's special move is so silly cos its like a giant muppy pops out of his ufo and headbutts people XD Oh and Flay's one where he dramatically fuses with his mana just to.. take one step forward and punch the foe. So anticlimactic! (dunno if that one was INTENDED to be funny though XD)
There was one class where they required you to find some special ore. The problem was that you needed a VERY specific ore you could only get from a hidden point far in the woods. And you had only about 10 minutes to find it. Which meant you COULD get there as long as you knew exactly where it is.
Aka: You finish the class with a C (since you can't get any of the special ore till the deadline), then you explore the part for hours, till you find the hidden digging point, THEN you reload your class and get an A. Yay.
Flay is great anyway. XD I love his "set up let's-save-the-world-stuff" he tends to organize for the main hero. XD
