drawing I did during the work meeting every Thursday. The people there were shredding each other and I kept myself entertained by listening to them while drawing. <.<
And it's pretty much a summarize of my mood during the last week... Leaving this open to interpretations. <.< As always: Advanced Critiques highly appreciated. Don't worry, no cookies this time. Comments
if only I was good at advanced critiques.... food critiques I can do though so I can critique your cake... >:3
I really like the wings, they have a nice texture and I like how, despite the material, they look light-weight and possible of flight -- -- She turned me into a newt!! -- A newt?! -- ... ... ... it got better... ... icon made by =SlothGirl I meant to say "capable of flight"

The creature's left hand is the most detailed obviously, but it's a little difficult to figure out at first, which are fingers and which are protrusions of a different sort. The other hand, although obviously simpler because of its position and shadow, is actually a lot nicer on the eyes, and so a slight simplification on the left would've been nice.
The shading is superb throughout, and the illusion of dark/light on either half of the page is very nice. There are a couple little spots that, to me could've used some more attention shading, such as the sole of his right foot that's facing us. I can understand a little reflected light off the ground, so that may just be a personal thing.
The only other thing is anatomy-wise, where his left shin is not quite shaped as nicely as the other one. The shin, in my opinion, should always curve slightly inward, and his left leg is actually pretty straight (if not curved ever-so-slightly outward). You achieved this on his right shin perfectly, I just wish it was totally similar on the other side. It's not bad by any stretch, just not perfect.
Even with these itty-bitty things, the drawing is incredible, and conveys a sense of real emotion that not a lot of fantasy drawings put forth. Good work!
