Watersword and Stonecleaver by drachenmagier Watersword and Stonecleaver by drachenmagier
Couldn't focus on the commissions, so started to draw glowy things. ^^'
I will get back to the commissions now.

Markers and white ink on mixed media paper.
I discovered slow piano music thanks to the rain trailers now. d:

At first I like to say, that it is an amazing piece!
I really like the technique you used for all the shiny and light parts (especially in the wings). Even with a mostly black backgroup looks the picture really lighning and that express such a big power, thats really great! I put off half a star because of the water, for me it seems a bit more like ice , it acts very rigid.
But all in all I have to say that your work is absolutly great! I love the pose, the swords and the proportions are really nice! But the best are (for me) the wings! I love the way you made them! It´s so creative!

I love the style and colouring, not to mention the concept.
The composition of the first one looks a little awkward, mainly because of how far the sword extends away from her body. If more of her right wing was shown it would balance out nicely.
In terms of anatomy, the muscle structure of her right arm (in the first image) doesn't look right. Use a reference to see how the muscles are woven together.
While I can certainly see why you placed the wings where you did, it would also make more sense if they protruded near the shoulderblades.

hello!!!

I recently started just drawing for some vague practice things from DC/Marvel comics and other sources and when I got to "wings" I just went through the images I saved in a folder on my computer and found this long-ago faved dA image and thought "perfect! .............. where did I find this again? ^^; " I knew I found this on deviantART but it was so long ago that I faved it, I lost it in my fave gallery >///< but I used reverse-image-searching on google to find you again ;)

here be my redrawn sketch --> [link]

I'm not looking for faves or kiriban, just if someone redrew my work I'd want to know, so I thought I'd give you a friendly heads up :) I'm going to ink the image and scan that as well, but I'm not going to color it. I'm not making an exact copy, just sketching for practice.

thanks for reading!

Thanks for the link! :D I always love to see what others create based on my drawing.
Btw, when you do not rename the files from dA, you should find the username of the artist in the filename. Which is why I never touch the names, makes it easier to find stuff later on. ^^
Buuut, learned that from mistakes too.

I'm really in love with the way you draw wings and feathers. I just really like the way they're stylized.
