Some of us believe that ghosts and spirits live in everything. So why not cities? Cities are sometimes older than the oldest tree around. Just... the spirits there would be different. Instead of bark they would wear the skin of tires. Metal. Concrete. Wire. Maybe old streetsigns. Slivers of smashed glass and pieces of old walls. Some of them maybe made of those things we forget. Others made of those things we leave behind. The wouldn't breath fire but exhaust and poisonous fumes. Neon-lamps and flashlights instead of the soft glow we tend to associated those creatures with. Their screams sound like halting trains, their prayers like the murmur of the highway.
Why not? *** As always: Critics highly appreciated. ^^ I was lazy with the city in the bg though. And I know that the right foot of the male Spirit is kinda wrong. CommentsThis is realy great O,o. Amazing concept of work.

The art is great))Such sketchy city accentuates attention on characters What is real size of this? -- [link] My gallery I see kind of xenomorph attitude in the exterior of these fabulous entities..^^
As for the record, there is a whole magnitude of all sorts of stories involving such ghastly apparitions in urban context...though it would require some research in order to uncover more interesting ones. Unfortunately, the ones I am most familiar with (due to their localisation within my nation) are usually associated with yet another demon/dragon/monster being hidden in various locations----in most cases getting killed off by concerned residents. -- [Totally irrelevant quote, dialogue between fictional characters or some other bullshit used to clog the 'comment signature' section of settings editor for... some... reason.] |
