The old Busstop by drachenmagier The old Busstop by drachenmagier
Just because one does not notice something or someone, does not mean it's not there. :)

Finally started to work with acrylics for real instead of just using it for white effects. I can only say: Fun to work with! 8D While coloring I was mostly listening to the OST of Infinite Undiscovery. [link]

Acrylics and Markers on A3-Mixed Media Paper.

and one day I will get the hang of viewpoints and correct that shield. d:

I just have to write a Critique O___O
This picture caught me !
I thought its Digital at first, but then read that its Traditional, amazing !!

5 Stars for Vision: The Atmosphere is pretty damn amazing, it kinda dark and creppy on the one hand and extremly full of lights on the other hand :)

5 Stars for Originality : Do I really need to explain why ?
Ok, ill do it anyway ;D
The Idea is amazing, and I love how it turned out. These creatures are amazing...just breathtaking...

5 Stars for Technique: Like I said before, this looks Digital work to me, thats why it is just more amazing that its Traditional in real xd
The Details( Feathers,cobbles,Lights...) are just amazingly worked out, I love how the lights and Shadows are set.Perfect use of Markers and Acrylic !

5 Stars for Impact: The Impact is just breathtaking, it really would be scary to have such creatures around you while your waiting^^
But Iam still amazed from the Idea and its great to see it the other way around, to see the creatures instead of the humans :D

A Masterpiece, I cant stop looking at it !

Great work, keep it up ;)

This piece immediately caught my eye while I was browsing. It is an interesting blend of light and dark, and I am intrigued by the choice of having the creatures in full form, while the humans around them are merely a ghost-like impression of a proper form.
I also like the buildings in the background: using more castle-like shapes instead of more modern architecture adds to the fantasy feel of the piece.

I only gave three and a half stars for originality because I have seen some images and films with this same idea, but you still managed to pull it off in a new way.

I do have to wonder what these creatures are looking at over to the right. Possibly the bus? Well, either way, it is a beautifully done piece, especially considering it was done in a medium you are unaccustomed to. Congratulations!

Oh I wish I could buy the print this instant! This is so lovely and mystical and I was drawn in the second I saw it. There's so many details to soak in and mystical thoughts to sort through once seeing it--I am literally in awe. The background is lovely and you've managed to make the piece bright (in terms of lighting) but gloomy in atmosphere--even with the glowing butterflies.
I see two worlds on a single plane--what we see and what we don't see, the latter being the main focus of the picture. My love of owls makes me all the more happy to see how detailed, powerful and majestic you've made these creatures seem. I can't say I'd want one as a pet or to BE one per-say but meeting one even for a few seconds (even at a bus stop) might just complete my life.
In short this is awe inspiring and mystical in the most wonderful way and I hope to see more of it from you -- Thank you for being an artist and completely making my day.

Thank you very much. Happy to hear you like it that much. :D
I guess I always liked the idea of different worlds on the same plane, instead of being divided in some way: It's nicer to know there are a lot of things we simply don't see, but they are still there. :D Hence the mix.

It's my pleasure~ I'm glad you are ^^
It does comfort me, especially when I'm doubting other planes of existence--you did an amazing job with the mix in my opinion~
