Coloured version. I was kinda... running on artblock this week which was not very good for my nerves. ^^'
Anyway. No use of blue. As promised. A bit of violet for the shading, mostly black and shades of brown. Still the same question: Do you want a cookie? btw: Messed up the feet of the girl and the ones of the ... thing. Gnarf. Traditional Media (watercolour, marker, pencil) on A4 paper. For of all, the child looks worlds better than the in sketch. Not better in the sense that was it was before, but butter in the sense that she doesn't look out of place now that some color has drawn her to the level of the beast. I think the necklace on the beast is a good touch, it was such a peasant surprise for the eyes when I noticed it. The cookie looks less like a cookie and more like a peanut patty but honestly, if the best I can complain about his a cookie, then you're doing a pretty good job.
I do, though, have one tiny beef; when I saw this, I could have sworn I had seen it before, and not as the sketch. Obviously this isn't true, but I think the reason I had such sudden Deja Vu is because the background is similar (though obviously not identical) to several other backgrounds of yours. This isn't a deal breaker, and obviously we're all guilty of it--I reuse themes in my writing like a recycling mill reuses paper--but I thought it was something you might want to be aware of. C: Overall, another gorgeous piece!
I do think that there are a couple of things that could have helped with the portrayal of this though. If the side where the wolf thing was a little darker it would have had a more dramatic effect (possibly some type of overlay over him). Also, the feet on him look a little off. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not but they seem to be like paws with feathers and high heels. lol. (not too sure how to tell you to resolve this cause I'm not really sure what you were going for >_< sry.)
Either way, I really like what you were conveying here and the technique is awesome. ^_^ Kudos on this and keep up the great work.
