Commission for ~irtireditislate
A lion and an unicorn, fighting and in the form of the infinity-symbol. :D That was fun to draw! Not too easy till I had some kind of concept that didn't look like... they were doing something completely different from fighting though. d:
...
Sending that original out won't be easy. T^T I really like the mane.

Drawn while being bored during a cardrive, colored while listening to a weird mix of metal-versions of TV-songs and Neil's Puppet dreams. Note to self: Do not watch those anymore when having a flu. O,o Did weird stuff to my dreams.

edit: *wide grin* the first BAMF!Unicorn I ever drew~

This is absolutely beautiful! I love this picture so much, the colors and expressions on their faces really make this picture. I love the style you used to draw them, with all the swirls and the definition in the hair <3 I definitely wouldnt mind pulling an idea from this and getting a tattoo of it! What I really like are the horn, the unicron's tail (it reminds me of an angel wing) and the way the eyes lead into the mouths for both creatures. The breath of the unicorn was a cool feature to X3

My only critique/ complaint (I hate using that word in this case) is that I didnt really realize the infinity symbol until I read your description, and the blood on the unicorn's hoove (is that how you spell it? 0.o) looks a bit .....(wow I really need to broaden my vocabulary) a bit strange.

All in all, this is beautiful and I hope you never stop drawing <3 Good luck and take care of yourself! <3

I have to admit I did not see the infinity symbol until I read it in the description, I also had to do some research on The Lion and The Unicorn since I wasn't familiar. Other than that though, I admire this work for the coloring and neatness! Currently I prefer digital over traditional but that doesn't keep me from admiring amazing traditional artworks I come across- and this is one of them. If you were a tattoo artist I probably would have asked you to put this on my skin since it, from my point of view, could actually qualify as a tattoo piece!

Though others would probably say your lion has to much hair extending all the way down its body, I say in this case, its actually alright. The way I look at it, if you cut the lion's hair short only up to its back, that would leave some empty space where all that hair is currently at and would make the whole thing look unbalanced.

All in all, good job ^_^

I just wrote you my first critique. I’m a little bummed that everything I wanted to write didn’t fit in there (a hundred words srsly?!), so I really had to cut corners. Mostly the praise had to suffer, as I wanted to be constructive in criticism.
But I wouldn’t have critiqued you if I didn’t think you could handle it. :) Here goes:

I love the concept so much that I'm a little jealous. This is one of these images I see and go: “why didn’t I think of that?” Classic stuff of fairytale, and your soft drawing portrays that beautifully.
For being your first unicorn it's not bad! I love the soft plumes and feathering.
The horn looks does de-attached from it, but I think that is because of the sharp shadow in the mane.
I kinda want to see this motif re-imagined as a tattoo.

No, it's a minimum of hundret words, not a max. :D
I saw it, thanks for the critique! Will get to it later on too~.

And I can handle almost everything when it comes to critiques. Even IF I feel peeved at first, I will let it settle and think about it for a few days. It's rare that I only get negative critique without anything behind it but trolling, so it's ALWAYS worth thinking about it. :D No matter how it sounded~.

And thank you very much for the compliments! =^^=
I can't really redo it as a tattoo, since it was a commission. But no one said you can't take the idea and try it out yourself. I certainly won't mind. ^^

Aw, stupid. Looks like I learned something today. XD
I kind of wish people would dare to critique more often. I'm here to improve, after all.

Might want to try my hand at something based on this concept. Someday. When I dare to draw a lion for the first time in ten years.

Always mention it in the comment (I keep forgetting that), because people tend to be scared to write anything negative otherwise. Heck, even when they use the critique feature, only one out of ten actually contains critique. :/ You'll have to search near and far to find a good critic.

I don't think I ever drew a lion (real lion, winged creatures do not count d: ) before.

I'll keep in mind to ask for critique properly in the future. Premium or not, critique feature or not - it's better to just make it clear that you are ready to hear any and all comments!

Indeed. Plus, you can ask for critique when you're not a premium member too. *shrugs* You just don't get to use the "shiny" feature.

Yeah, I've given crits before. :)

I wouldn't have bought a Premium for myself anyway, as I'm not too pleased with how DA is run these days.

You should be decorating metal or something. Every time I see your work it reminds me of something ornate and beautiful, like a pocket watch or jewelry. There is a certain "grandness" that comes to mind.

Thank you very much!
I definitely would like to try that. Though I think engraving is not too easy to master. Tried glass once and failed horribly. d:
