Commission for *Enide-Dear

First time ever I tried myself with the Chinese Long (Chin. dragon). And those scales were fun to color. And the curl in it's body fun to draw. X3

... Now I can only hope Enide will not hate me too much for the details: It's supposed to end up as a wallpainting. d:

This is a very beautiful piece of art! This is exactly how I picture a Chinese Dragon.

The shading and lighting on this is completely gorgeuos!

The only thing that comes to my mind is the legs. They seem almost out of place, and they are kind of confusing to look at.

Other than that, this is a very realistic piece. You are a very good artist, one of the best I've seen.

This definately earns you a llama and a watch. This makes me want to look at your gallery, and favorite every single piece.

Keep up the good work!

What can I possibly say to do this exotic piece justice?
This is a gorgeous piece! Utterly Breathtaking!
The fine details and soft vs. strong use of colour supplys a rather brilliant contrast, an the orbs/pearls in it's claws display such a regal and royal touch,
It has a strong feel of fire and strength to it, however.
Words cannot express how amazing this image is!
Right down to the smallest scale and hair strand!
It's inspirational! It makes you feel strong inside, like you could conquer anything, like you're this entrancing dragon yourself!
Bravo *drachenmagier!
I've never loved a piece of art this much, it's one of my favourites on DeviantArt!

Obviously this a great illustration. Details and colors scheme are fantastic.
My only critic is about the fingers... A traditional Chinese dragon got 5 fingers...not 4, as all my Chinese friends often pointed it to me ;-)

Thanks! :D
I was told only the long of the Chinese Emperor has five fingers though. Not easy to find correct information, when one has to rely on the internet. ^^'

You are right about the Long Emperor and considering the normal people of that remote times weren't allow to illustrate in any way the "King's Dragon ", though, some illustrations were done with a slight changed details, as less fingers for example.

Oh, good, you had me worried for a moment. :D Not the best idea to have an emperor-dragon on the wall of your kids room (that's what the commission was for). d:

Haha....well,no worries, times have changed, modern childs are much more demanding and open... You know, with all those monsters, transformers, zombies, weird superheros and so forth... They don't put limit in their dreams ;-)

True, but I still like the old values when it comes to mythical creatures. :D I guess I'm pretty much the only one around here who knows how to greet a Sidé or one of the Fey. Or what to do to survive the encounter. d:
