Book of Life and Dreams by drachenmagier Book of Life and Dreams by drachenmagier
Lots of Heather Alexander and Mercedes Lackey while drawing that. And Changeling Child by Heather Dale. Love the song, but Fairies are evil bastards. [link]

The page is based on the writings of ~Eonari. The drawing started as practice for something and
simply. wouldn't. find. an. end.

I think if I worked any longer on that, I would have eaten it to prevent it from ever leaving my side.

I already got a friend who works with typography criticize the writing part. : D Never been good at typography. :'D

Traditional Media on A4-paper for technical drawings. Mostly markers and white ink, some gold for the letters, which is not visibible on the scan though.

PS: Can you find the four dragons? d:

Ooooh my goodness! This is gorgeous! I would like to ask if I could, erm... If I could paint this? I wanted to ask first. I would give you credit and post it up and stuff, it would just take a while, but I'm just itching to paint it out. :)

Out of curiosity, what're the original dimensions of the paper?

I'm at a loss of words... and very, very happy you didn't eat it. :XD:

As for Dragons, I'm guessing they're hidden among the swirls surrounding the text, so might there be one above or beneath the "f" in "life"? Perhaps on underneath the "r" in "there", other than the one above the "t"?

's normally not very tasty to eat paper, so it's kinda like the last straw? XD

Underneath the r is a normal snake. :D But above the t of there is one. And two others are close by~.

Well, if you want it to never leave your side its a very badly thought out last straw if you ask me considering the fact it would come out again sooner or later. :XD:

Hmm, how about above the "n" in "and" the "L" in "Life"?

The second "life"? Jup, that's one. Same with the a of and. :D

... And I haven't thought of that. O-o Darn, I would have to get it implanted or something like that! XD

...
Everything else ends kinda gross. XD

Three down, one to go... and I think I give up on that one because if I spend more time looking for it I won't get anything done. :XD:

...somehow I don't think I'd approve of what you have in mind as "implanting" it gives quite a few pleasant ideas as it is. Should be easier to get it tattooed, but I really wouldn't recommend that. What I would recommend though is a nifty hiding place in your wall or underneath the floor... or perhaps a hidden space in the refrigerator door between the isolation and metal facade if you prefer a nice twist on an old cliché? :XD:

Looks pretty, this is very traditional of your countries style. Reminds me of The Red Book Liber Novus by C.G. Jung, an old Swiss book. I also consider your forestry/mushroom works traditional too, I don't know why I associate mushrooms with Switzerland though. The colors of this give a lively feel too, greens, whites, blues and some gold.

We do have a lot of mushrooms, but yes, normally people associate Heidi, cheese and fondue with Switzerland. : D Or Birchermuesli.

Though I was always curious how English people pronounce the last word. It has a few parts in it that are nearly impossible to pronounce when you're not born in Switzerland. *evil grin*

Thank you very much for the compliments!

Heidi is a name so I guess you mean like a company name? Only Swiss brands I know are sewing machines, watches, and knives. Wish I could move to the alps...

Having me tell you about it so you will know the basics about Heidi. :D After all, it's the most famous Swiss book out there. Japanese people - when visiting Switzerland - will always stop at the locations where Heidi lived. Kinda fun to watch. :D

It's one of them works where you always think; is it done? can't I still add a little here or there maybe?
But I tell ya, it looks good. I love these kind of books; Detailed, big letters, full of images and colors that can tell a story better then any letters put there. Just lovely.
I'm not sure if gold on the wings would've been better, but I'm sure you know what you're doing.
I can't see the dragons, however. I see only snakes, squirells, eagles, an orb and a fireball.
Neither do I see anyone else finding a dragon there... so I bet it's one of the snakes that hides a wing somewhere =_=

Thank you! :D Yes, it's one of those drawings for sure. And I still think: hey, I can make that better or I could paint a bit more over there! Though I had been "wasting" way too much time on it so far. ^^' Let all the other commissions catch dust. *cough*

And look over the t of there. ;)

Oh you sneaky bastard... little wings on snakes eh...

One above "L" and above the "an" of "and" and besides the circle sign besides "Life".
And the one you named, ofcourse... right?
Also, good luck with those dusty commissions - maybe a little cillit-BANG to clean 'm up :3
