Lots of Shingeki no Kyojin OST while coloring. [link]
And lots of cursing because the hardest thing I can imagine witht acrylics is a clean gradient. d: Got any tips on blending?
And have fun writing then! : D
It's like the image is talking with me and telling "And then the dragon fire comes in stars and still shining until now. So when you look to the sky, you remember: there are dragons..."
Just love it!
(sorry about my english)
And same. I saw the Aurora and my only thought was, that if I had ever searched for proof for magic and dragons, it was right before my eyes now.
if you don't mind me using this piece as inspiration some day it would be great
Totally, the SNK-Intro 1 is one of those tracks that just fire you up, isn't it?
For fave, compliment and rewatch~!
dA is a bit buggy sometimes, I guess. Though I have to say that more often I simply just know the usernames of the artists I love by heart and just go to their page like that, completely forgetting that there is a watch button. d: I'm sometimes a tad retarded~.
That was pretty much what I tried, so I guess I mostly lack the practice to do it right.
Yes, the blending was a rather big problem. I knew what I wanted but even after a week of struggling with it, it wouldn't get anywhere near the initial idea. Lack of skills, definitely. And with that something I will practice more in the future. Though the tip with the oil might not be bad. Or I could finally start with oilpaintings. Acrylics dry way too fast for the things I had in mind here.
Thanks for the tips!
I thought about trying to scratch something like that into one of those blackboards. I think that would work nicely too~.
The easiest would be a chain store like Micheals, I know they have an online store--but maybe look at Amazon first, they have better deals.
Also, you could litterally just put scratch boards into google, and go into the shopping section, it lists it by prices, and sometimes you can find these sites in the dark corners of the internet that have ones that are silver scratchboards or multicolor. Heh, I ain't going to tell you were to spend your money, but it's a good place to check out.
Amazon is a good idea though. I order stuff frequenzly there.
just out of curiosity, why do you doesn't share them (finished work) on Tumblr?
Well, I do have the tumblr account for wips. And tumblr makes it harder to track everything. Interaction too is limited. Which I found rather sad so far. I prefer dA but I don't mind if people share my finished works via tumblr. ^^
